Fats and heat without sugar

The fat engine

In Russia, cold is not a weather condition, it is a state of existence. When the thermometer drops to -30°C, the body does not ask for nutritional advice, it asks for heat. And this heat must come from within. I learned early on that fat is the only fuel that can sustain that internal fire sustainably. They are the dense wood that burns slowly in the stove of our metabolism. Without them, the cold wins, fatigue sets in and willpower crumbles. Fat is our heat shield.

This understanding is purely functional. Fat creates heat through thermogenesis, an efficient and direct biochemical process. It allows us to remain active and alert even when the environment is hostile. At 46, I see fat as a precision tool. I don't consume it out of greed, but out of strategy. It's the engine that gets me through the day with steady energy, never feeling that thrill of weakness that comes from a lack of real fuel.

The flash in the pan

It is often wrongly believed that sugar and fast carbohydrates also create heat. This is a dangerous illusion. Sugar creates a flash in the pan: a sudden, intense, but ephemeral surge of heat. It is inevitably followed by a sudden fall, leaving us more vulnerable to the cold than before. It’s a cycle of addiction that exhausts the body and clouds the mind. In Russia, fats are often accompanied by bread or cereals, thinking of doubling the effect. In reality, we sabotage the effectiveness of fat by the instability of sugar.

This instability is what I flee from above all else. Sugar makes us slaves to our next food intake. It creates a nervous hunger that has nothing to do with the need for heat. By eliminating sugar, we allow the fat to do its job properly. We are leaving the cycle of peaks and troughs to enter into sovereign stability. The heat of sugar is a betrayal; the heat of the fat is a promise kept.

The power of duration

What fascinates me about fat is its persistence. A meal rich in good fats – clarified butter, quality lard, animal fats – radiates heat for hours. We don't just feel 'equipped', we feel 'armed'. It is a feeling of quiet strength that permeates the entire body. We can stay outside, walk, work, without the cold becoming an obsession. Fat offers us the luxury of forgetting: we forget that we are hungry, we forget that we are cold, we can finally concentrate on what is essential.

This duration is the key to performance. In my system, fat is the lynchpin. It allows you to reduce the frequency of meals without ever sacrificing energy. It is a metabolic economy of formidable efficiency. At 46, I no longer have time to waste on slumps. I want fuel that goes the distance, respects my physiology and keeps me warm, literally and figuratively. Fat is that persistent force that never disappoints me.

The wisdom of the climate

My approach is not a modern invention, it is the rigorous application of Russian logic. Our heritage knew that cold requires fat. Northern peoples have always survived on dense animal fats. They had no sugar, no tropical fruits, no refined grains. They had the raw strength of nature. By returning to this basis, I am only reactivating a biological program that has proven itself over millennia. It is a wisdom dictated by the climate, a truth engraved in our genes.

Today I see many people being surprised by the effectiveness of the ketogenic diet. For me, it's simply a return to common sense. We were designed to burn fat, especially in harsh environments. Sugar is a recent historical anomaly that has thrown our internal compass out of whack. In Russia, we have the tools to correct this situation. We have the tradition of noble fats and respect for the raw product. It is enough to use them without polluting them with the additions of modernity.

The warmth found

Fat alone is enough to create lasting heat and unwavering energy, without needing the deceptive crutch of sugar.

I invite you to experience pure fat. Don't be afraid of it, see it as your ally against the cold and fatigue. Integrate it with discipline into your meals and observe how your body reacts. Feel this heat rising, steady and deep. Rediscover the strength of your own metabolism when it is nourished correctly. Clarity is in the fire within, and that fire needs fat to burn. ¡Priyatnogo appetite e viva a gordura pura!
