Stable energy in a country of contrasts

A land of intensities and ruptures

Living in Israel means accepting to navigate in an ocean of contrasts. The climate can change from oppressive desert heat to humid, penetrating cold in a matter of hours. The social rhythm is just as intense: we move from the fervor of work to the absolute peace of Shabbat, from the urban bustle of Tel Aviv to the silence of the hills of Galilee. To avoid being swept away by these opposing currents, the body needs an anchor. He needs energy that does not fluctuate depending on external circumstances.

This anchor is our food. In a country where everything changes all the time, metabolic stability becomes a form of survival. By basing our meals on dense nutrients — plants, healthy fats, proteins — we create a foundation of strength. We no longer experience thermal or emotional shocks with the same vulnerability. Our body has its own reserve of calm, a quiet strength that keeps us upright no matter what wind blows.

The inner chaos

The greatest danger, in an already unstable environment, is to add instability inside oneself. That's exactly what sugar does. By causing sudden spikes and drops in blood sugar, sugar creates hormonal chaos that exhausts the nervous system. We become irritable, tired, unable to adapt. Under the scorching sun, an excess of fast carbohydrates turns the heat into an unbearable aggression. In the cold, it leaves us defenseless, drained of our internal heat.

I noticed that people who consume a lot of sugars are the first to suffer from climatic contrasts. They are in a permanent state of emergency, constantly seeking the next dose of energy to compensate for the previous crash. It’s an exhausting cycle that disconnects us from our environment. By eliminating these sugars, we regain our natural capacity for regulation. We once again become the masters of our own internal climate.

A requirement for endurance

The pace of life in Israel is demanding. We work hard, we get involved, we communicate with passion. This intensity requires endurance that only a stable diet can provide. We can't afford to have a 'setback' at 3 p.m. when we still have so much to accomplish. Low-carb energy, from fats and proteins, is long-lasting energy. It’s the fuel for everyday marathon runners.

This endurance translates into persistent mental clarity. We make better decisions, we are more patient in traffic jams, more present for our family in the evening. Nutrition is no longer a health detail, it is a human performance tool. It allows us to fully live our lives, without being hampered by the limits of an unregulated metabolism. The stability of the plate becomes the stability of existence.

Balance as an act of resilience

There is an almost spiritual dimension in the search for nutritional balance in the midst of contrasts. It is an act of resilience. By choosing to nourish our body with care, we affirm our desire to remain conscious and vibrant. We refuse to let ourselves be anesthetized by industrial food. Each crunchy vegetable, each drop of olive oil is a stone added to the building of our inner strength.

This balance extends beyond ourselves. A stable person is a source of stability for others. At the table, this serenity is felt. We don't rush into the food, we savor it. We do not discuss with aggression, we dialogue with openness. Metabolic peace is the first step towards social peace. It is a modest but real contribution to the harmony of our country.

Navigate with confidence

Israel will continue to be a country of contrasts, and that is its beauty. But we no longer have to fear these ruptures. With a diet that respects our biology, we have the compass and the engine necessary to navigate with confidence.

I invite you to seek this stability. Don't see low-carb as a constraint, but as a liberation. Give your body the constant energy it needs to face life's challenges. You will see that external contrasts will no longer be obstacles, but magnificent landscapes that you will cross with strength and gratitude. Health is the foundation of your freedom; cultivate it with love.
